- You need 12 each of corn tortilla.
- You need 2 lb of shreded beef.
- It's 1/2 head of chopped lettuce.
- It's 4 each of small tomatoes diced.
- Prepare 1 cup of cotija cheese grated.
- Prepare 2 cup of veg oil.
We love tacos around here, so this is a favorite. I have used the meat to make burritos and enchiladas too. This recipe also works well with pork. The house smells so good when it is cooking!
Shredded beef tacos instructions
- first cook meat for 1 and 1/2 hours.
- while meat is cooking chop up leftuce and tomatoe and grade the cheese and set aside.
- after meat is done cooking take out let it cool and then shred or chop up meat.
- then heat up the corn tortillas till soft.
- heat up oil in a large pan let it get hot.
- when oil is ready get tortilla and add desired amount of meat in tortilla.
- fold tortilla in a taco shape and put in oil to fry flip after a few minutes till lightly crisp.
- continue till done then while you take cooked tacos out place on paper towels to drain.
- then dress your tacos as desired then serve hot.
