- Prepare 3/4 cup of Garri.

- Prepare of Ground oil 4 table spoonful.

Garri is a dry cream-white flour mainly consumed in West Africa. It is obtained by processing the starchy tuberous root of freshly harvested cassava in a sequence of demanding steps involving: peeling, washing, crushing, fermenting, drying and frying. Gari (garri)is a fine to coarse granular flour of varying texture made from cassava roots. Cassava is cleaned after harvesting, grated, water and starch squeezed out of it, left to ferment and then fried either in palm oil or without palm oil and serves as a major staple food in West Africa.
Garri meal (brabisco) instructions
- Put ground oil on fire and allow to get hot.
- Add maggi, salt and pepper to oil and allow to fry for 5 seconds.
- Bring oil down from fire and allow to cool a bit.
- Pour garri into oil and mix well.
- Add little water to mixture and MUX to make the garri soft and easy to chew then taste to check if salt was enough.
- Cut onion bulb and put into moisture and mix as well.
- Brabisco is ready for consumption.
For a full meal, garri is usually cooked by adding it to hot water, then kneading it into dough. This is eaten with different types of thick, leafy vegetable stews, melon seed stews, peanut stews, or beans.
