Stuffed idli with tomato chutney step by step
- Add one cup suji in a mixing bowl then add dahi. Mix well..
- Now add salt as per taste and pinch of baking soda and mix them. Keep the batter to rest for 30 minutes..
- In a pan add 1 tsp oil. Add rye, chopped green chilli and grated ginger. Saute well.
- Add chopped onion. Mix well..
- Add mashed potatoes and saute the mixture well. Turn of the gas and leave the mixture to cool down..
- Grease the idli stand with oil and pour batter in it and spread it with the help of spoon..
- Now add the prepared mixture in the centre of the idli batter..
- Add 1 spoon of batter again on the stuffing and press it so that it can spread..
- Keep the idlis in microwave at 60% power for 8 minutes..
- For chutney.
- Take a pan add 1 tsp of oil add green chilli, ginger and onion..
- Now add tomatoes and saute well..
- Once the mixture is soft turn off the flame and let it cool..
- Blend in mixture. Add salt and 1 tsp sugar..
- Add rye tadka to the chutney and add 1 tsp lemon juice... chutney is ready to serve..
