Peanut Laddu. There are many ways of making peanut ladoos either solely only with peanuts or with addition of ingredients like coconut, sesame seeds or nuts. Some recipes call for a soft ball or hard ball consistency in jaggery syrup for making peanut ladoos. I will add this recipe too in some time.
In cold winter months, peanut ladoo is made more often to keep the body warm as it provides heat. Method: Grind the whole, roasted, unsalted peanuts without skin in a food processor. Work in short pulses and give the peanuts a few seconds to cool between each pulse or else you'll end up with a sticky mass. You can have Peanut Laddu using 5 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you cook that.
Ingredients of Peanut Laddu
- Prepare 1/2 kg of peanut.
- You need 3/4 kg of jaggery powder.
- Prepare 1 tsp of cardamom powder.
- It's 1/2 kg of white til(sesame seeds).
- It's 3-4 tsp of ghee.
Pulverize the jaggery with a mortar and pestle or with a metal potato masher. Sweet Peanut balls is an easy and healthy snack that you can munch on anytime. If you are going to dig into a snack between meals, you might as well make it a healthy choice. Healthy in two ways actually one is the essential nutrients that come from peanuts and the other benefit is that I prepared this without common sugar or honey.
Peanut Laddu instructions
- Take a pan roast peanuts on low flame. Till they become brown. Let it cool. Rub it with towel to remove it's outer covering. In a mixer Grind it. Keep aside..
- In the same pan roast til on very low flame till til splutter. Turn off the flame. Let it cool..
- Take a large plate, add grinded peanuts, til,cardamom powder,ghee and jaggery.Mix it well..
- In a mixer jar grind this mixture. For few seconds..
- Note-Quantity of jaggery may be use more or less..
- Transfer it in a pot. Grease your hands, put some mixture and press it. Make laddu..
It is made with jaggery and roasted peanut. Oil in the peanut and moisture in the jaggery is good enough to bind these easy peanut laddu. Being refined sugar-free these peanut ladoo with jaggery are very healthy and nutritious.
