Ingredients of Pesarattu Dosa

  1. You need 1 cup of green gram.
  2. You need 1 tbsp of rice.
  3. You need 1/2 inch of ginger.
  4. Prepare 2 of green chillies.
  5. Prepare 1 tbsp of Cumin seeds.
  6. Prepare 1 bunch of coriander.
  7. Prepare to taste of Salt.
  8. You need as needed of Oil for drizzling.

Thus Pesarattu literally means Moong Dal Dosa. Pesarattu dosa is made with moong dal. This dosa does not need fermentation like the traditional dosa. With a little planning, breakfast or dinner can be made in a moments notice.

  1. Soak rice and dal for 5-6hours.
  2. Drain and transfer to a grinder jar along with ginger, coriander,green chilli,cumin.Grind to a batter using very little water.Add salt.Check the consistency of the batter..
  3. Grease a Dosa tawa or griddle with little oil and pour a ladleful of a batter and spread it in a circular motion..
  4. Drizzle oil and allow to cook on medium flame till crisp..
  5. Serve with chutney..
